the manager there is a complete B!TCH!! hung up on me multiple times, horrible cocky snotty attitude and without Dr's permission, told me shes going to put a lock on my account so none of my pets can be seen there, all bc i called her out for being royally rude on the phone! dr was kind enough to remove the freeze on my account, but i think im going to take the managers advice & NVR GO THERE AGAIN! since then, ive been taking them to cary's animal clinic in New Lenox & love the staff there! super sweet & helpful!
The staff is always the sweetest to my boys! Dr. T has the greatest attitude with the animals and I love Dr. Frank's conservative approach with my dogs. I am never one to jump to procedures and testing, but bc Dr. Frank is so knowledgeable that we can usually avoid all of it. Also, Randy is excellent with helping me or answering any questions I may have. If he does not know the answer, he will always find out for me.
I was very pleased with the staff & doctor. My issue is with Debbie the manager who said she's making our account in active. I have been with Dr. Carey for 26 yrs, just recently changed to Cedarway per my husband's request. I have zero complaints about Dr. Carey. My husband's concern is $$. We prefer to order our dogs medications/preventative medications online due to cost but several staff members frown upon that & say everything possible to convince you otherwise. Also, our one dog was recented diagnosed with a severe heart murmur & Dr. T was shocked I was unaware. I brought this dog in for her rabbies & because she had a discharge from her anal region. The doctor recommended blood work & x-rays, I agreed to blood work which came back completely normal :-) Debbie called me with the results & I asked why is my dog on antibiotics then...btw, the discharge was due to her needing her anal glands expressed, which is done every 6 weeks by the groomer. Long story short, I asked Debbie why I can't return the expensive unopened preventative medications. She said because they have a no return policy but I said they are a lot less expensive online & she said the medications online are not good quality etc. Needless to say I'm in total shock. I can't believe how this woman reacted to me. How am I supposed to give my dog the preventative medications when I'm not allowed to drop off her stool sample which btw I paid for that test. I so wished I never left Dr. Carey's office, shame on me. We are all trying our best to be smarter when spending. I'm not an irrational person, I barely raise my voice & never once did I when speaking to Debbie. I did inform her of my husband's concern regarding how expensive the preventative medications are through their office & merely asked if we can return the unopened boxes so we can purchase them online for 1/3 the cost & instead I was told she's mailing our dog's records, canceling all the appointments & making our account inactive.
Have been seeing Dr Frank for over 30 years. He is a skilled surgeon and extremely knowledgeable. I trust him
